How to be more confident is a question asked by many, including myself. I personally gained a lot of confidence through living a healthier life, and through the attainment of various body and fitness goals. I can say with certainty I’m much more confident now than I was say 3 years ago when I was less healthy and less fit.
How I Was Able To Be More Confident
Health and wellness, living a more fit lifestyle, and most importantly proving to myself that I AM capable of accomplishing many things, great things even, have allowed me to be more confident in my own skin and in myself. How was I able to be more confident you may ask? Well, again, it started with living a healthy and fit lifestyle.
By becoming more fit I started to look better, and more importantly I started to FEEL better. Being able to run a few miles without being winded is a boost to one’s confidence and most importantly a boost to one’s energy levels. And one thing lacking in many individuals who lack confidence, I truly believe, is energy. Or better put, when we feel less confident in ourselves, we feel drained of our energy.
What Does Being Healthy And Fit Have To Do With How To Be More Confident
Well, aside from the aesthetics of it all, aside from having more energy and feeling less draggy or drained, the most important factor to how becoming healthier and more fit equates to being more confident, is that you prove to yourself just how capable you are of accomplishing…well…..almost anything.
Imagine you started your fitness journey barely being able to run 5 minutes without gassing out! Imagine six months later you are able to run a couple miles, or 20 to 25 minutes straight. Your body and especially your MIND logs that, whether you are paying attention to it or not, your subconscious realizes that when pushed, you are able to succeed.
How Living A Healthy And Fit Lifestyle Makes You More Confident
This is especially for those who have not started working out yet, or have gone back and forth, without staying consistent. I give you my word, if you just put in at least 3 to 4 days a week, even if it’s only 20 minutes each day, stick to it, and add on to it slowly, little by little. The most important thing is stick with it, and after a year, I want you to look back and reflect and again, I guarantee you are going to be like, “DAMN!” I just did that!
And that is a boost of confidence that no quick fix can even come close to. As with all things, when you’re creating something, when you’re building something it takes time, effort, and most importantly consistency!
