I Find It Important To Make Fitness & Health Fun
Seriously, who enjoys their work, their life, and most especially their fitness and health when they are too…what is a good word….serious! You and I know that those who consistently do well, whether it be a Russell Westbrook or a Stephen Curry, Dave from marketing, or your neighbor John who is always smiling while working on his yard, they do well because they consistently have fun in what they are doing!
The Benefits Of Making Fitness & Health Fun
I have A LOT of fun working out, running, even eating healthy! Seriously, I put myself in the role of athlete at times, or healthy food connoisseur (although I don’t always eat “healthy”) And if I think rationally about it, well energy levels are higher when I am having fun, I am more excited therefore more adrenaline is pumping through my veins when I am having fun, and quite frankly I am thinking more positive when I am having fun so I am able to accomplish more!
How I Am Making Fitness & Health Fun
First off, I put myself in different mindsets, or reframes depending on the mood I’m in or the type of motivation I feel I need for the day. However the most typical mindset I put myself in is that of an athlete! I imagine I am an athlete, and I act it out to the last detail. From what I wear, to how I walk (lol!) Getting dressed up, in a fun, fit and athletic way helps me to have so much fun in terms of my fitness and working out. When I run, I dress like a runner! When I go to the gym, workout, etc. I get way more into how I dress than per se when I am dressing up to go to work or go out on the town!
In the end, it’s up to you when it comes to making fitness & health fun. You really can’t choose what you enjoy and like. Seriously, I mean you can’t force yourself. However there are so many ways to get fit and healthy there is no way you can’t find at least one type of activity and at least a few healthy/clean meals you will truly enjoy! And you should also enjoy your “treat” (I don’t call them cheat) days as well, because really in the end it is all about balance. It is that balance that allows the fun moments to be so much fun, and the healthy moments to be all the more healthy! So go out there, and make sure that making fitness & health fun is a priority, not just an afterthought!
