Business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce refers to the electronic exchange of products, services or information between businesses rather than between businesses and consumers. Examples include online directories and product and supply exchange websites that allow businesses to search for products, services and information and to initiate transactions through e-procurement interfaces.
Shopify can enable your users to buy your products directly through Facebook thanks to the two platforms’ integration. You can also enable and manage user accounts on your Shopify store. However, I’m not so sure you can combine the two, unless their is a specific app that can be approved through Facebook and allow this data and information to be collected and stored, almost like a remote Shopify account. There is a Shopify forum discussion on this topic here, and an app to possibly consider is ‘One Click Social Login‘.

I have decided to use Shopify to launch my new patent pending product because of your review. In fact I had originally ruled them out because they charged a transaction fee, but when I found out that there is none if you use their payment gateway I changed my mind. I am very nervous about trying to do this on my own but I am determined to do it. Believe me I am no computer expert.

I didn’t like how Woocommerce works and how indirect the fees can be, and unlike Shopify who had a very straightforward fee. But my business is not MAINLY about the products, it’s more of the community and the content which WordPress can properly handle better — in my opinion. The one thing I like about Shopify is the hosting, it’s faster than most WordPress sites (who usually have shared-hosting).
If you post that “Tubthumping” dance video to your YouTube channel without permission, there are two ways you can be caught. First, the owner of the song can send a copyright infringement notice to YouTube asking them to take down your video. It would be nearly impossible for the members of Chumbawamba to watch every single YouTube video in search of copyright thieves, but that doesn’t mean you or your wicked dance moves are safe.
I have a Shopify store front and it is not making any money. While Shopify has nice features, it is insanely difficult to generate traffic. I’ve tried using social media (Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook and Google+) but I get very few visitors. Shopify’s advice simply does not work. Ultra Records’ lawsuit against Michelle Phan put her entire lucrative video empire at risk. While you may not be (i.e. almost certainly are not) a big star like Phan, that doesn’t mean no one will notice if you post a video showing off your mad dancing skills to Chumbawamba’s “Tubthumping.” If you use music improperly in your videos, you could lose your ad revenue, see your YouTube channel suspended, and even end up in a courtroom!

The GCC countries have a rapidly growing market and characterized by a population that becomes wealthier (Yuldashev). As such, retailers have launched Arabic-language websites as a means to target this population. Secondly, there are predictions of increased mobile purchases and an expanding internet audience (Yuldashev). The growth and development of the two aspects make the GCC countries to become larger players in the electronic commerce market with time progress. Specifically, research shows that e-commerce market is expected to grow to over $20 billion by the year 2020 among these GCC countries (Yuldashev). The e-commerce market has also gained much popularity among the western countries, and in particular Europe and the U.S. These countries have been highly characterized with consumer-packaged-goods (CPG) (Geisler, 34). However, trends show that there are future signs of a reverse. Similar to the GCC countries, there has been increased purchase of goods and services in online channels rather than offline channels. Activist investors are trying hard to consolidate and slash their overall cost and the governments in western countries continue to impose more regulation on CPG manufacturers (Geisler, 36). In these senses, CPG investors are being forced to adapt e-commerce as it is effective as a well as a means for them to thrive.
I think the thing about Shopify is that they allow you to integrate your offline and online systems, instead of having them separated and trying to reconcile your business data. Think of it as backend integration and support. If you change your backend data, such as pricing, inventory levels, etc, everything is sync’d up allow you more time to grow your business. Shopify – A popular choice among many SMBs, Shopify has features that let you sell online, on social media, and in-person. It lets merchants build and customize their ecommerce site through easy-to-use interfaces and templates. And it has features such as inventory management, reporting, buy buttons and more. It also has social selling functionalities for those who are active on sites like Facebook and Pinterest. 
You keep a database of your Shopify products in Google Sheets, but making changes to a product description in one tool and having to repeat it in another is a pain. If you are looking to sell your products in an actual retail setting, then you can opt for the Shopify POS. This includes everything you need to sell your products offline, both on the software and hardware side. The software includes an iPad app, which makes selling your products in a retail setting much easier. With the app, you can use the credit card reader to swipe the customer's credit card right there. You can even purchase additional hardware from the company such as a cash register, a receipt printer and even a barcode scanner.
I started off using Square when it first came out. But I wanted something more robust that would help me with ecommerce and POS as I grew my ecommerce platform. Shopify makes everything seamless and has a number of apps that help me do other things like marketing. It's not as inexpensive as Square for POS, but it also is way more powerful. The customer service has also been great. I hate calling for customer service, so I use their Chat feature and always get an answer to my questions or issues.
Their arrogance in my following discussions with them was shocking and despite my attempts to offer solutions and alternatives to their unacceptable action they maintained their intransigence. I have no option but to leave Shopify altogether because by closing off the payment gateway this adds an additional 2% transaction fee for using alternatives and my business is very small margin that this fee makes the business unprofitable. They have also offered no recompense or solutions or even an apology. I would not go anywhere near this company and they are the worst company I have dealt with in my entire career. I am glad to be leaving but it infuriates me to think they can mess around with peoples lives the way they do. I have heard of many others since this happened to me that have had similar experiences with Shopify. Avoid at all costs! There are plenty of alternatives and even ones that change no transaction fees if you use an alternative payment gateway.
